A Dance with Dragons
By George R.R. Martin

This book is about a “game of thrones” that a whole group of people are playing for the Iron Throne. Some of the characters are Theon, Davos, Jon, Stannis, Jaime, Daenerys and Tyrion. Theon is of House Greyjoy, rightful heir to Pyke, now captive of Ramsay Bolton, and was once a ward of the Starks of Winterfell. Davos Seaworth is a former smuggler and Hand of Kind Stannis, known as the Onion Knight because he smuggled onions to Stannis when Storm’s End was sieged. It is a medieval time period in a fantasy world in Westeros, the Nine Free Cities, and Slaver’s Bay.
I really enjoyed the book and series because it got my mind off of a lot of problems, and the suspense and mystery. It keeps me on the edge of my seat and has me totally engulfed. My favorite character is Bran because he is striving to be better even though he is crippled and overcoming his struggle. I relate to Robb Stark because I have been betrayed by close friends as he was. It hurt me a lot.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy books because it is really addictive and you will always want to know what happens next. My favorite quote is “A Lannister always pays his debt” because it means it you do something good or bad, you better expect something good or bad back.
